Deacon Ben and Jennine Seitz founded the Six Stone Jars Mission in 2021 to share the peace, joy, and love that can only be found in Jesus Christ and His Catholic Church with others. The name “Six Stone Jars” alludes to the Wedding Feast at Cana from the Gospel of St. John. In the story we witness the powerful intercession of the Blessed Mother Mary and the superabundant gifts that God wishes to bestow on each of us – even in the small issues that can arise in our lives. The focus of the Six Stone Jars Mission is married couples retreats and parish missions.
Deacon Ben was born in Saint Paul, MN and raised in a Catholic family, attended Catholic schools from K-12 and joined the United States Air Force (USAF) shortly after graduating from high school. It was at a USAF the he met Jennine and they were married a year later in Great Britain where both were assigned. They spent the next 23 years traveling the world in the USAF while raising five children.
During those years, their faith began to grow – slowly at first. While stationed in South Carolina they encountered a group of Catholic families who were serious about their faith. That experience had a dramatic impact on both of them. They began to study their faith, pray the rosary as a family and spend time with Jesus in Eucharistic adoration.
Over the years, both Deacon Ben and Jennine have figured out the importance of a sharing their faith as a couple, making time to pray together and nurturing a Catholic culture in their marriage. They now share the lessons learned in marriage over the past 38 years with other married couples. Jesus Christ is the answer to every trial in marriage!
Deacon Ben retired from the USAF in 2007 and the family moved to Fargo, ND. He earned a Masters of Arts in Theology from Catholic Distance University and was ordained a Deacon in the Fargo Diocese in October 2020. He is currently the Director of Evangelization at Sts. Anne and Joachim Parish in Fargo, ND.
